From 21 June to 30 August, 21 evening shows, maximum of 380 seats to ensure social distance
Estate Fiesole is not canceled by Covid-19, the organization of the 73 edition has been confirmed by PRG Srl and the Music Pool Association, awarded by the Municipality of Fiesole for the management of the Roman Theater of Fiesole until 2022. Neri Marcorè , Edoardo Leo official, Lella Costa, Chiara Francini will be on the stage of the Roman Theater together with other protagonists of this edition. All the events of the Estate Fiesolana on Facebook have been updated, indicating postponements (with dates to be defined) and new available dates.
The 73 edition of Estate Fiesolana will therefore take place between 21 June and 30 August with evenings of concerts, theate and film screenings, with some of the most popular live entertainers. Tickets are single-seat, assigned but not numbered, and there is a maximum capacity of 380 seats in order to maintain social distance and guarantee individual space.
The series with the Ligurian Public Theater is confirmed with 4 evenings dedicated to the Decameron | Estate Fiesolana Summer 2020 An Italian story in the time of plague, written by Sergio Maifredi, and the two History Lessons | Estate Fiesolana by the Laterza Publishing House with Amedeo Feniello and Alessandro Vanoli.
Saturday 27 June, a new evening dedicated to young jazz talents with Young Jazz. On stage will be /handlogic, probably the most interesting and courageous alternative pop project of the current Italian music scene and Don Karate, the project of the drummer Stefano Tamborrino together with Pasquale Mirra and Stefano Ponticelli. / handlogic perform after their 2016 victory of the Controradio Rock Contest and a large number of concerts on the most important Italian and European stages, presenting ‘Nobodypanic’, their latest album (Woodworm label). One year after his debut ‘I Dance To The Silence’, Stefano Tamborrino presents the DON KARATE project by releasing the second LP of the same name for the Original Cultures label. A journey through electronic music, hip hop grooves and melodies that touch on contemporary classic without however, disowning pop music. The trio is enriched by the contribution of Paolo Pinaglia, an artist who with his video mapping and visual art performances completes the lineup.
Wednesday 8 July, Gianluca Petrella presents Cosmic Renaissance, his project inspired by the music of Sun Ra. The cosmic journey of the quintet formed by Gianluca Petrella, the trombonist plays the role of intergalactic skipper for a journey in which to get lost and find oneself in the labyrinths of the darkest music. It is a project which will make you forget the convictions of the most accomplished jazz and take notes for new routes to be traced on the afrofuturist cartography that SunRa started scribbling a century ago. Gianluca Petrella is among the most recognized Italian musicians in the world. In over twenty years of his career, he has conquered the most prestigious stages and festivals and has collaborated with internationally renowned artists writing, performing and recording music in a transversal way, from experimentation to the mainstream.
Tuesday 14 July, Ginevra Di Marco, accompanied by Francesco Magnelli and Andrea Salvadori, offers a concert-show entitled "Lucho e noi", a tribute to Luis Sepúlveda who recently passed away, with whom he held a show, in Florence in 2017, with the title "Poems without a country". An evening of music, poetry, stories and readings to remember this giant of world literature, a great traveler and citizen - even before being a writer - who loved to practice the exercise of living with constant resistance. Ginevra di Marco is one of the most beautiful and loved Italian female voices, Francesco Magnelli and Andrea Salvadori are the magical repositories of music and sounds that range from sweet popular melodies to rough rock sounds.
On Wednesday 22 July, Tosca presents Direzione Morabeza. As on other occasions, alongside the songs most loved by her audience, we will have the opportunity to listen and enter the artist's world, the result of a path of research, passion and listening to the great musical schools that populate our planet without borders. Singer, actress, eclectic artist with an innate propensity for research and experimentation. She has collaborated with the greatest Italian and international artists. Winner of numerous awards, she has 9 studio and 6 theatrical records to her credit. With Ho Amato Tutto a song written by Pietro Canterelli, Tosca got 6th place and the Bigazzi Prize at the 70th edition of the Sanremo Festival. Her latest work in the Morabeza studio was released on October 25, 2019 and concludes a long journey through the countries of the world, started with The Sound of the Voice (2014) and Appunt Musical from the World (2017).
In August the Roman Theater will once again be an open-air cinema, returning after many years to a starring role with a three-week series curated by the Stensen Foundation.
