Bechamel Sauce Recipe

  • 60 g butter
  • 60 g flour (all purpose)
  • 1 lt milk
  • nutmeg
  • salt
Preparation Melt the butter in a deep potover low heat. Next begin to add the flour using a sifter and with lots of patience using a whisk mix in. Once you obtain a smooth creamy paste begin to add the milk, again the key is to keep the flame low and always work using small quantities. After you have poured the entire litre of milk the bechamel will be bubbling at this point grate some fresh nutmeg into the pot and a pinch of salt.
