Restaurants of Vetrina Toscana offer local specialities

Tuscany is a region rich in local traditions and culinary delights. Aside from the most common delicacies and traditional dishes are an array of lesser-known plates that merit a taste! 

This is the main aim of the initiative Vetrina Toscana, which offers visitors and restaurant goers some of Tuscany's best yet lesser-known dishes at participating restaurants throughout the region. Special menus will features tapeless like olive oil, locally produced meats and vegetables.

In the province of Grosseto, some 75 restaurants are participating in Vetrina Toscana a Tavola. From Castiglione della Pescaia to Follonica, from Capalbio to Scansano, numerous eateries will feature local foods and specialities from Grosseto. Each restaurant will feature special tasting menus of local foods and wines.    

Try the traditional pico pasta with an ancient sauce, cinta senese pork stew or papardelle pasta with wild boar sauce. Restaurants will also feature fish-inspired dishes, like tagliolini with salted mullet roe from Orbetello or a cod starter and a gnocchi with lobster.
