N.B. An itinerary suitable for everyone, partly on cycle paths. Especially beautiful second stretch through the Tomboli di Cecina Nature Reserve. Either return to the departure point on the same road or from the easily reached railways stations at Bolgheri or Bibbona (La California) bicycling towards the old Aurelia (SP39) (about 1.5km) and catching a regional train that carries bicycles to Rosignano Solvay station. This itinerary can also be divided into two sections: Rosignano Solvay - Cecina Mare and Cecina Mare - Bibbona. The second section, which goes mainly through the protected environment of the Tomboli di Cecina National Forest, is particularly recommended for families with small children.

Depart from the southern end of Rosignano Solvay at the start of the cycle path that runs alongside the main road. After 1.4km there is a possible detour to the right for the white beaches at Rosignano. The cycle path carries straight on, and after 700m comes to traffic lights (2.1km); turn right onto a small road running across an area of Mediterranean scrub towards the coast and the sand dunes. After about 600m you reach the sandy coast near the access point to the Pietra Bianca beach (2.7km). The road continues along the coast and after approximately 1km enters a lovely pinewood. Keep following the road, ignoring the deviations to the left, which lead back to the main road. After a short while, the road goes past the Vada cemetery and through the town centre. At the large intersection (4.7km), turn right towards Mazzanta. At the next intersection after about 600m, go straight on following the signs out of town for Mazzanta and Pineta Molino a Fuoco. At the next intersection (7.9km) turn right towards Pineta Molino a Fuoco, and after 400m cross the bridge over Fosso Molino.

Ride alongside the pinewoods, which separate the beach from the interior as far as the T-junction in front of an old red brick bridge. Go left here, and then right after 100m, crossing into Cecina municipality. After another 700m follow the main road which turns right towards Marina di Cecina. At the roundabout (11.5km) there is a possible detour to the right for Gorette beach, but the itinerary carries straight on towards Cecina Mare on a road flanked by a cycle path (on the left). Cross the bridge over the Cecina river (12.4km) near the marina and enter Cecina Mare. At the intersection after the bridge, carry straight on to the roundabout (12.9km) and go right towards the sea as far as the roundabout/square. Go left along the avenue skirting the pinewood to the entrance to a dirt road (14.5km), closed to traffic, which runs for 7.5m through Tomboli di Cecina to Marina di Bibbona (22km).
