On July 19-26, Tuscany is ready for a special edition of Play Your Tuscany, the series of blog tours aimed to promote the region of Tuscany. This is a special edition of Play Your Tuscany, because is part of the Expo Tuscany program, one of the many initiatives of this year connected to the Expo in Milan. The Expo Tuscany blog tour is called “Tuscany among the stars” and will take us to see a lesser-known side of this region, the one that shines after the sunset and that counts events, historical celebrations, food fairs, street art shows, concerts and art&photography festivals. The bloggers will in fact experience some of the main events of the Tuscan summer, such as Lucca Summer Festival, Pistoia Blues, Mercantia in Certaldo and Cortona On The Move. Here is the detailed program. The participants will arrive in Certaldo on July 19 to explore Mercantia, the International Street Theatre Festival, thanks to a guided tour with the organizers. The next day they will move to Cortona for the Cortona On The Move photography festival (July 21 will be entirely dedicated to this event), stopping by Rapolano Terme for a light lunch and a relaxing thermal bath. On July 22, the participants will head to Florence to visit Forte Belvedere with the Antony Gormley’s exhibition and to do the “Renaioli” tour on Arno River. July 23 will be entirely dedicated to Lucca and activities related to food, while the night will be devoted to Robbie Williams’ concert at Lucca Summer Festival. The last stop will be in Pistoia, for a walking tour in the city centre and the Sting concert at Pistoia Blues. This special edition of Play Your Tuscany blog tours will involve three bloggers (Sasha Wang, Yishyene Chew and Samuel Webster) the photographer Bernardo Conde and the video maker Stefano Bizzarri, as well as Costanza Giovannini and Ivo Riccio, members of ALLTHINGSTuscany and coordinators of the tour.
