The UCI Road World Championship passes through… Pistoia!

This year, the UCI Road World Championship passes through many Tuscan cities. This is an occasion to discover them with different eyes and take advantage of this event to visit something you've never seen before. So… let's go to Pistoia! Pistoia is situated 30 kilometers north-west of Florence and too often is considered a secondary destination in Tuscany. What a mistake! Pistoia has something to offer, starting from the bell tower of the cathedral, that is the third highest in Italy. A good idea could be climbing on the top of the bell tower and see the city from 68 meters high.

The Team Time Trial Élite Women's starting point of the races in Pistoia is indeed Piazza Duomo, the centre of the culture and artistic history of the city. Than the race passes through via Roma, via Cavour, via del Can Bianco, via Porta Carratica, via Battisti, via Fiorentina and then towards Prato and Florence provinces. The finish line is at Mandela Forum in Florence. The Team Time Trial Élite Men passes through Pistoia starting from Montecatini Terme.
