Summer events in the Tuscan coast 2011



Remember we talked about the Blue Night in Florence? Well the same event will be held in the Estruscan Coast in the week end of the 18th and 19th June 2011. The Etruscan coast is the area that from Livorno goes town to Piombino and includes: Antignano , Quercianella, Rosignano Marittimo, Vada, Castiglioncello and the turistic port of Cala de' Medici, Cecina, Marina di Bibbona, Castagneto Carducci, San Vincenzo, Piombino, Riotorto-Natural Parck of Sterpaia) will turn int o a single h uge stage to celebrate the beginning of Summer and the great number of Blue flags received by the beaches in this area. Classic, rock, pop and jazz music concerts, light installations, art performances, temporary exhibits, museum and book store openings with art events and free readings, beach party, all mixed up with amazing food and wines and loads of people.     From friday 27th July until Sunday August 7th in Livorno it’s time for the 26th edition of _blank">Effetto Venezia, the traditional summer festival of Livorno. This year’s edition has a theme “France” and the great final event will be the famous opera "La Traviata". The event starts in the famous Venezia neighborhood with its beautiful 700 century’s buildings and the typical canals but soon enough it spreads into other neightborhoods from Borgo Cappuccini, Piazza Venti and Piazza Garibaldi.
