Springtime in the marshlands of Fucecchio

Take a guided tour: running now through June

The Marshlands of Fucecchio are one of the highlights of the Montalbano region. Natural beauty is enhanced by a remarkable variety of flora and fauna which have found a happy home in this humid zone: royal ferns, water lilies, and carnivorous plants share space with more than 150 species of birds including heron, cranes and storks - an ideal destination for nature lovers and bird watchers.

The Tourism Agency at Montecatini Terme / Valdinievole is promoting a series of Spring Visits which offer a guided tour, in Italian, through the plants and animals of this natural wonder, with stops for birdwatching a the animal observatory.

REGULAR TOURS
The Fucecchio Marshlands Nature Reserve - Le Morette region: a classic itinerary through the marshlands discovering the flora and fauna of the area. Includes birdwatching stops at the animal observatory.

The Fucecchio Marshlands Nature Reserve - Righetti region: a tour through a protected area of the parks which has only recently been open to the public.

The Chiusi Woods and the Paduletta di Ramone: a beautiful trip through woods which hide magical glades.

Guided visits cost €6.00 (€4.00 for under 18s).

Reservations must be made no later than the Friday preceding the visit and spaces are limited. Guided tours can be arranged by appointment for groups of a minimum of 20 people.
