Let yourself be tempted by a September in Tuscany: there are plenty of upcoming events that await you!

  • Nella Vecchia Fattoria in Siena. On September 17 and 18 the Medici Fortress will host the “Old Farm”: animals, games and many stories. A great opportunity to relive the traditions of the countryside and experience nature in the center of Siena.

  • Cortonantiquaria in Cortona (Arezzo) until September 4th: a national antiques exhibition that takes place between August and September, since 1963!

  • Festa del Vino 2016 in Montecarlo (Lucca), 1-11 September: September in Tuscany also means wine festivals! Here is one, in an enchanting town not far from Lucca.

  • Festa dell’Uva e del Vino in Chiusi (Siena), 23-25 September: another wine festival, but this time we are in Val di Chiana, in a beautiful Etruscan village in southern Tuscany.

  • Salamarzana in Fucecchio (Florence), 3-4 September: the 7th edition of the medieval festival that takes place in Fucecchio, in the area of Florence. Interesting fact you might want to know, Fucecchio is crossed by the Via Francigena.

  • Medieval Festival in Vicopisano (Pisa), 3-4 September: a medieval reenactment happening in a small medieval village on the Pisan Mountains.

  • Giostra del Saracino in Arezzo, September 4th: a spectacular event which is held in Arezzo’s Piazza Grande twice a year, in June and in September. On the occasion of the Jubilee Year, in 2016 the Joust of the Saracens will also take place on August 27.

  • con_vivere Carrara Festival in Carrara, 8-11 September: a series of conferences, events, shows and exhibitions on the theme of “Borders”.

  • Settembre Prato è Spettacolo in Prato, 1-17 September: live concerts, Palla Grossa and other medieval reenactments, street food events will liven up Prato for 17 days.

  • Treno Natura 2016 in Buonconvento, Chiusi and Murlo (Siena), September 4, 18 and 25: get ready to hop on board of historical steam trains and vintage railcars and discover the province of Siena from a different perspective.

  • Anima Mundi 2016 in Pisa, 10-24 September: the International Sacred Music Festival which takes place since  2001 in the astonishing setting of the Cathedral and Camposanto.
