Lucca Summer Festival 2011

Summertime is definitely the best time of the year to fully enjoy the beauty of Tuscan landscapes, visit the historical city center of some hidden little borgos in the Tuscan countryside and to drive across the coast, enjoy a nice seafood dish and take a deep in the sea. Moreover summertime is also the perfect time of the year to enjoy the most important outdoor music events such as the Puccini Festival at Torre del Lago, Blues and rock music at Pistoia Blues Festival and rock pop music in at Lucca Summer Festival. Before Christmas the organisers of the annual Lucca Summer Festival came out with some names of the possible artists included in the line up of the 2011 edition! Rumors started at the end of December with the news about Elton John singing at the festival and followed in early January with the confirmation of the Canadian band Arcade Fire. Lately in the web site of the festival the first names of official line up of this year's edition came out with the following names: Tuesday 28th June: Blink 182 Saturday 9th July: Arcade Fire Thursday 14th July: Elton John + his band Friday 15th July: Joe Cocker + B.B. King Saturday 16th July: Amy Winehouse Monday 18th July: Ben Harper Thursday 21th July: James Blunt Sunday 24th July: Jamiroquai So far I think it sounds like a great Festival with top quality artists and it's promising well :) Don't you think this line up could make everybody happy? This Festival has taken place in Lucca in Tuscany since 1998 and normally starts the first week end of July and lasts until the third week end of July.
