After the main square of Fiesole there is a descent till Pian Del Mugnone. At the end of the descent there are two kilometres of ground level and then the hardest part of the itinerary: via Salviati and the descent to Piazza della Libertà in Florence. The last part is in the heart of the city of Florence, 2800 metres that lead to Viale dei Mille and finally the finish line at Mandela Forum.
