Living Paintings

With the 7th edition of the traditional rendezvous with "The Living Paintings", the village of Montemassi is once again transformed into an open-air museum, with dozens of "human" paintings enlivening the town's squares, streets, views and panoramas. 

It is a unique spectacle that involves about a hundred people including figurants, carpenters, woodworkers, electricians, costume designers, hairdressers, makeup artists, figurative arts enthusiasts and many others, to bring to life stupendous scenic settings.

A community that wants to make itself beautiful and at the same time help visitors to better appreciate some works of art, with the aim of spreading art in a truly evocative landscape setting. 

The appointment is set for Sunday, June 4, starting at 5 p.m., in Piazza della Madonna in Montemassi. From here the itinerant route through the streets of the town will start, during which the splendid paintings animated by the town's extras can be admired. Along the way numerous animations and musicians will highlight the pictures with live music. 

Departures in groups every 15 minutes (first group 5 p.m. - last group 8 p.m.).
The show is free of charge.
