Terre Alte is not just an exhibition; it is a hymn of love to the land written with a camera. It is an itinerary, but also a photographic tribute of great charm, which tells the rare beauties of the unique and precious heritage we have, our island, with a passionate and emotional look. Roberto walks silently along the mountain and coastal paths, immersed in the colours of the seasons and in the most mysterious places, in search of that part of Elba that is still pure, intact, at an almost primordial stage.
The use of the drone allowed the photographer to free himself from the earthly perspective, detaching from the ground to reach the freedom that allows him to look at the everyday life with different eyes, rediscovering glimpses and places that until a moment before we thought we never fully knew. So even light takes on a new meaning, enhancing shadows and shapes in an unexpected way, painting a rediscovered world in which the zenith perspective lights up colours and brings us into an abstract reality, immersed in unexplored beauty and unpublished poetry.
Terre Alte is a song of infinite freedom, a stimulus to look at our territory in a different way to understand the importance of protecting it.
Terre Alte is a selection of images taken in the territory of Marciana taken from the photographic book “Pianeta Elba”.
