In San Quirico d'Orcia an explosion of flavors to celebrate extra virgin olive oil
An explosion of flavors, scents and folklore and an opportunity to taste the newest vintage of extra virgin olive oil. All this is the San Quirico d'Orcia Oil Festival.
Since 1993, in December, on the weekend of the Immaculate Conception, San Quirico has been celebrating its extra virgin olive oil, the green gold, in its new vintage with leading producers.
From December 8 to 10, an edition that leaves room for trekking, tastings in farms and guided tastings held in collaboration with AICOO tasting technicians, for a festival that makes green gold the undisputed king of Val d'Orcia tradition. Plus lots of music and entertainment to enliven the squares and streets of the historic center.
A popular festival for the appreciation of a typical San Quirico production and the olive tree, one of the symbols of the Val d'Orcia landscape.
