Shows, performances, workshops and conferences promoting contemporary research into movement

Accademia Libera Natura & Cultura presents the 1ˢᵗ edition of PerformArte, to be held from July 4–9 in Querceto, Pisa, with dance-theater performances, workshops and artistic residencies. The event explores the study of movement, seen not only as the basis of dance, but also as a common element of all the arts. Thus, dance will unite all the young participants-performers, musicians, actors, directors and artists—under the artistic direction of Andrea Filidei—to promote the contrasting of languages in investigating contemporaneity and contemporary art.

The program:

  • Friday, July 4
    9:00 pm
    Castello di Querceto Terrace
    Deixis
Final performance of the PerformArte artist residency. The project is curated by Giulio Stermieri (sound), Andrea Filidei (movement) and Luca Boffi (artistic creation).
  • Sunday, July 6

Dance-theater show in four acts of I Topi. Non Li Possiamo Nemmeno Vedere (The Mice. We Can’t Even See Them).
A performance combining theater and contemporary dance, starting with a provocative question: what if Lady Macbeth and Macbeth were the same person? The show is conceived by Stefano Ghidetti, author of the dramaturgy who is also overseeing the direction, Silvia Fontana taking care of the choreography and Michele Papa in charge of musical research. The performers are Eugenia Delbue, Andrea Filidei, Tavishi Pownikar and Marta Santi.
