In May, Acquario della Memoria is offering Nero Night Experience, the "walking cinema" event: on Sunday, May 14, Sunday, May 21 and Sunday, May 28, departing at 9:30 p.m. from Porta San Zeno (meadow side) and arriving at Bagni di Nerone at about 11 p.m.
The route will start from images and stories of Etruscan Pisa and arrive at the Roman period through historical sources, aerial footage integrated with 3D reconstructions, animated shadows, and historical iconography. The various stages will unveil the mysteries of the Roman city such as the lost amphitheater, the tales of ancient travelers and scholars from Rutilio Namaziano to Strabo, the ancient relationship with water starting with the Auser River, the life and workings of the thermal establishment with the sub-world of the slave-fed wood-burning furnaces, the legend of San Torpé that allows us to connect Nero, St. Peter, the Villa of Corliano and the ancient and powerful family of the Venulei.
The perfect opportunity to discover unseen corners such as the green path that connects Via San Zeno and Via del Brennero through a small door in the Walls, lapping the site of the lost amphitheater and the extraordinary garden of the Carmelite friars.
