Montespertoli’s summer event dedicated to the Scorzone truffle
Returning to Montespertoli, in the heart of the Florentine countryside, is the 4ᵗʰ Sagra del Tartufo Scorzone Toscano—the Tuscan Scorzone Truffle Festival. The initiative will be held on June 14–15 and 21–22 at the Parco Urbano at Via Volterrana Nord 46.
Montespertoli’s summer event, dedicated to the Scorzone truffle and genuine cuisine deeply rooted in the territory, complements the historic Sagra del Tartufo Marzuolo, held every March in Certaldo.
Food stands will open each evening from 7:30 pm and will also be open for lunch on Sundays from 12 noon.
The menu offers many traditional Tuscan specialties, all enriched by the scent and flavor of summer truffles: truffle hors d’oeuvres, tagliolini (stuffed pasta), crespelle (crêpes), beef tartare, truffle tagliata (steak) and even white or black truffle desserts, accompanied by selected local wines.
In addition to being an opportunity to enjoy excellent food, the festival is also a time to meet and promote the Valdelsa’s natural and cultural heritage, thanks to the work of truffle association members, custodians of ancient natural truffle grounds now actively maintained.
