Lucca in Masquerade - An Incredible Carnival!

In February, Lucca also celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Viareggio Carnival, with two weekends of great events, celebration and light-heartedness.

  - 5 p.m., under the loggia of Palazzo Pretorio 
  Lucca, Stories of Carriages and Carnivals   
  exhibition curated by Associazione Napoleone ed Elisa: from Paris to Tuscany (open until the end of February)
  - 8:30 p.m., in Piazza Anfiteatro 
  Concert by Cristina D'Avena and the Gem Boy  
  introduced by DJ Veronica Niccolai and presented by Mariagrazia Cucchi
• Saturday, February 4 
  - 2:30 p.m., Piazza San Michele
  Children's Eve
  with games, music and entertainment and typical Carnival sweets 
  - in the evening, in the businesses and venues of the historic center

  with masks and amazing entertainment

  2:30 p.m., on the Walls of Lucca from Piazza Santa Maria to the Caffè delle Mura
  Viareggio Carnival on the Walls of Lucca
  with masks, animations and figures 
  parade of masks, a historic moment for the event, which for the first time parades away from its city of origin
