Leghorn Medieval Festival

For three days, May 12-14, Livorno's Fortezza Nuova will host the second edition of the Leghorn Medieval Festival, the largest medieval festival of its kind.

After its great success in 2022, the festival is back even bigger, with a vast program of events to go back in time: a large horseback joust, armor and crossbow tournaments, more than 180 reenactors and fighters from all over Italy and abroad, music, performances and artists of all kinds!

  Opening at 6:30 p.m.
  9:30 p.m. Great show along the walls and ditches (free)
• Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14
  Two days full of activities: horseback tournaments, challenges between knights with swords and crossbows, duels in singolar tenzone, visitable military encampments, historic markets, medieval crafts and craftsmen, refreshment stands for lunches and dinners, educational trails, live music and traveling shows.
  Sunday evening final concert by BardoMagno.

A project conceived by White Company a.p.s., artistic direction by Wavents s.r.l., logistics and communication Crazy Revolution Eventi and Digital Forge, historical reenactment groups of the CERS.
The event is promoted and sponsored by the City of Livorno, Tuscany Region and LEM Foundation.
