Io sono. Tu sei. Noi Mu6ei

The Empoli Museums have been working for some time to become increasingly accessible. Physical, sensorial and cultural accessibility is in fact an essential requirement to make places of culture fully accessible to all visitors. 

In this context, the project "Io sono. Tu sei. Noi Mu6ei" ("I am. You are. We Museums") proposes a calendar of meetings, starting on Sunday May 22 in the Museo della Collegiata in Empoli, focusing on routes accessible to autistic persons.

The programme of the initiative:

• Sunday May 22, 3.30 pm-7 pm
  Museo della Collegiata
  "HEROES, SAINTS, SWORDS AND MASTERS"
  Let's explore the spaces of the Museo della Collegiata in search of the many characters that animate its paintings and sculptures, each with their own story.
• Sunday June 12, 3.30 pm-7 pm
  Municipal Museum of Palaeontology 
  "LET'S TOUCH PREHISTORY"
  The museum's tactile trail will lead us through the various rooms of the museum. Together we will discover rocks, fossils, analyse tools made in prehistoric times and experiment with fire starting techniques. Finally, in the dinosaur room we will immerse ourselves in the duel between Velociraptor and Protoceratops.
• Sunday September 18, 3.30 pm-7 pm
  Glass Museum 
  "TRANSPARENCIES AND WEAVES"
  An unusual tour inside the museum observing its objects through the use of special coloured filters. A way to play with glass and its transparencies and to experience the interweaving of marsh grasses that traditionally covered the green glass of Empoli.
• Sunday October 16, 3.30 pm-7 pm
  A day dedicated to the memory of Mirva Fiorini                                                                    Through the city 
  "THE CITY THAT I'D LIKE"
  An unprecedented walk through the historic centre will guide children to observe details and perspectives through special frames and lead them to the realisation of their own ideal city, giving free rein to their creativity and imagination.
