Imagine Dragons have chosen Italy as their only European destination during their current tour. The American band will perform in Florence on June 2 at the Visarno Arena, putting on a large-scale concert. Imagine Dragons are 8th in the world rankings for listens on Spotify, with more than 40 million listeners each month.
Last November 9 their album “Origins” was released on the Universal Music label. The band (which has received multi-platinum certifications and won a Grammy Award) launched the singles “Natural” (gold in Italy), “Zero” (part of the soundtrack to the Disney film “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and one of the most widely played songs on Italian radio) and “Machine” ahead of the disc’s release.
“Origins” comes 16 months after the release of their previous album “Evolve” and was conceived as a sort of “twin” album, continuing with the sonic experimentations of the previous project. Dan Reynolds, the band’s singer, explained that it “explores new territory while also appreciating our origins.” Besides Reynolds, the band includes guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman. “When we create, we do it without borders or rules. For us, it’s exciting to create music that’s ever-new and diverse.”
