ARBITRIUM – Emanuele Giannelli

The Forme nel Verde event, now at the historic milestone of 52 editions, will host from July 22 to November 5 in its historic places (Horti Leonini - Piazza della Libertà - Piazza Chigi - Palazzo Chigi Zondadari - Bagno Vignoni) the sculptures of Emanuele Giannelli, renewing that ancient bond and exchange between city and countryside, well represented in Ambrogio Lorenzetti's "Effects of Good Government" in the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena. 

Forme nel Verde this year places at the center of its theme "man" modern and perhaps future, in relation precisely to his environments, his living spaces, but also to his conscience, his vices, virtues or weaknesses, which Giannelli's monumental sculpture, made of bodies, lets interpret to establish a personal account, which will mirror and soul, of the beholder, nature and artifice and their coexistence.

ARBITRIUM is that possibility of choice that originates in the person himself, conditioned by many factors, first of all cultural, related to tradition, but also to innovation, and above all by knowledge.

Forme nel Verde 2023 proposes a rich and heterogeneous program among the highest forms of Art; from sculpture to ceramics and painting, with a focus on the historical-artistic tradition of San Quirico d'Orcia and space for the artistic expressions of young people from the Academies of Fine Arts.
