The sagra, by now a mainstay on Piombino’s summer calendar, is dedicated to fish specialties on the Etruscan Coast and takes place in Piazzale d'Alaggio, where stands and tables are set up side-by-side overlooking the sea and close to piazza Bovio. The specialties on the menu are varied, from boiled octopus to pesto anchiovies, and are typical in local cuisine.
The main dishes proposed by the Comitato festeggiamenti piombinese, who organizes the sagra, are made using local products, fresh fish and traditional recipes, all simple but tasty.
The food stands are open every evening starting at 7pm.
The sagra will also include talks, music and side events.
