Medieval tour of San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Siena

An all day tour departing from Florence to discover the rolling hills of Siena and all the beauties that Tuscany has to offer.

The first stop will be Monteriggioni, a picturesque fortress perched on a hill immersed in a fairytale landscape, made of hills, vineyards and cypresses. You will have free time to explore the historic center and, why not walk on the centuries-old walls for a truly breathtaking experience.

The second stop will be Siena, the historic rival of Florence and a city characterized by architectural beauties. Your local guide will take you on a tour of the city, where you can admire Piazza del Campo, the heart of the city, dominated by the Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre del Mangia, and then continue to Piazza Duomo, where you will be in awe of the wonderful Gothic Cathedral.

After a delicious lunch with wine included, you will leave for San Gimignano, the iconic medieval city famous throughout the world for its 13 towers that still intact as well as for the production of delicious Vernaccia white wine. You will have all the free time you need to admire the wonderful panorama that surrounds you and to get lost in the small squares and alleys of the city.

Finally, you will cross the heart of Chianti to reach a characteristic local winery, immersed in a picture perfect landscape. What better way to end the day than with a toast with your travel companions? You can enjoy a delicious wine tasting in the company of an expert sommelier, before returning to Florence basking in the memories of the day just passed.
