- 2 or 3 hours of guided tour in Volterra
- A bubbling surprise
Drink, food, tips, museum entrances
We will visit the Etruscan Volterra with the the gate, the city walls and eventually the Etruscan museum, then the Roman Volterra with the theatre and the spa, almost intact. Then we walk in the Medieval Volterra: the most beautiful places are Piazza dei Priori and the government building which influenced the architect of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence; the cathedral with its elegant 13th-century pulpit and octagonal baptistery; the Buonparenti tower-houses, the narrow streets and all the buildings in the old centre of the town. At the end we will visit the workshop of an alabaster artisan. Just before a bubbling surprise...
