Podere Salicotto is situated in a strategic location on the top of a hill, straddling the Crete Senesi and the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO heritage site, and enjoys stunning views rolling away in every direction. To the north-west the profile of Siena merges into the horizon while the sky burns with the sunset colours, to the south Montalcino’s hilltop lights and Mt Amiata, and to the east the colours of dawn and the village of Chiusure, near the abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore.
