This is a particularly scenic tour and includes a visit to the historic center of Pitigliano (duration approx. 2 hours 30 minutes), one of the tuff cities, famous for its history and architecture, but also for its food and wine products.
This area is also known for the "Vie Cave" dug into the tuff, which already in Etruscan times served as connecting roads, but also for the processions, since the Via Cave are located near the Etruscan tombs
There are many ways to explore the Vie Cave both on foot and some even by car.
We'll have the possibility to visit the Orsini palace and the Jewish ghetto with its Synagogue in Pitigliano. After that, we'll have some time to taste and/or buy typical products such as Bianco di Pitigliano, extra virgin olive oil, pici, sfratto di Pitigliano, cured meats, cheese, honey, jams, handicrafts and much more.
In the afternoon, for those who are interested and with a small price supplement, it is also possible to visit Sorano and Sovana, in addition to the famous tomb of Ildebrando in the archaeological park of Sorano (entrance fees not included in the price).
