La Roverella takes its name from the big oak (Quercius Robur) located beside the house. In the past it was a granary and even a vinsantiera (a place where the typical Tuscan's sweet wine "Vin Santo" is aged).
The apartment "Bacco" has a living room with kitchenette, large bed room, large garden, free parking and free WI-FI. We usually welcome our guests with a bottle of wine and a homemade cake (currently suspended for COVID19 security).
The guests can see our farmers at work all year long, depending on the season, like the grape and olive harvest, the pruning of the vines and olive trees, see how the grapes become wine in the cellar... and can taste and buy our red wine (Chianti DOCG and IGT), grappa, extra virgin olive oil and Vinsanto.
Graziano, the owner, is always proud to show his cellar-museum, the photographic exhibition on peasant culture and tell the story of the building, dating back to 1300. He will also be happy to illustrate the most beautiful itineraries and the places of greatest historical, architectural and artistic interest in the area.
Following a path right next to the vineyard, you can reach the top of the Poggio Tondo hill, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Siena and the surrounding landscape.
Agriturismo La Roverella is in a little village: Ville di Corsano in the Crete Senesi, a short distance from the terme (spa) and one hour drive from Florence and Arezzo. In the village you'll find an excellent tavern and pizzeria, a bakery, a mini market, a pharmacy, an ATM.
Our offer includes a 7-night stay for 4 people in an apartment.
