Kayak in Valdichiana

Tuscany is the land of rolling hills, art, wines, unpolluted nature…and more:
in Valdichiana Aretina you can also enjoy kayaking.

You will feel as you are among the fascinating swamps of Louisiana, the "bayou" that extend into the areas around New Orleans. Instead, you will be at Lake Calcione, a few kilometers away from Lucignano, one of the most beautiful borgo in Italy. 

Here you will sail among submerged woods and lake plant species, you will explore the shores of the lake embraced by its rich vegetation, a refuge for numerous species of birds.

The tour will start from the Calcione Castle, there you will meet a certified naturalist guide who will accompany you throughout this sensational experience. You will reach the nearby lake on foot in a “natural” walk that will give you beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape.

During the kayak excursion, the guide will intrigue you with anecdotes about plants and the fauna (do not worry, you will not come across terrifying alligators) and the history of this authentic territory. 

At the end of the excursion you will regain energy with the tasty typical products of Valdichiana, in a picnic based on Tuscan cold cuts, cheeses and wines.
