Exciting excursion at the gates of the Val Bisenzio, an itinerary that will allow us to discover the contrasts and beauty of this valley and its highlands, a route that presents itself as a true journey through time.
We will walk along the river stretch of Rio la Nosa, among "bumps" and "sponges," yellowish-colored Travertine concretions that contrast with the predominant Alberese, before walking the ancient mule track that will take us to visit Case Lavacchio and arrive to Foce ai Cerri.
We will admire the unique ecosystems of the Acquerino-Cantagallo Nature Reserve by crossing numerous small wooden bridges that will lead us to the spectacular meeting point of the waters that "seems" to delineate the birth of the Bisenzio River.
A beautiful mule track through chestnut groves and tabernacles will lead us back to the ridge and to our starting point.
The highlights we will visit in this proposal:
- The village of Migliana
- The forests of the Acquerino-Cantagallo Reserve
- The Springs of the Bisenzio River
The tour will take place on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
