Set in a landscape that expresses the typicality of the Valdarnese countryside with fine farm-villas set by the geometric countryside of the Rignano hills, our excursion hides compelling stories such as that of Quona Castle, whose cellars protected the statues of the Medici Chapels and Florence Cathedral during World War II.
But also places little known but rich in interest, including small parish churches of Romanesque origin such as San Lorenzo in Miransù but above all Villa il Focardo, a place that will amaze us with the touching story of the connection with Albert and the Einstein family.
We will not reveal any other details but we will let ourselves be enveloped by a page of the history of the area, while the airy views will lead us back to San Donato in Collina to end with the sweet notes of a pancake wrapper (so-called "frittelle").
History, nature, architecture, and seasonal culinary traditions come together admirably in this proposal to discover the area.
