In the Oltrarno, the district of Florence where more than in other areas of the city you can breathe a popular atmosphere, the complex of Santo Spirito dominates the scene. A church studied by Leonardo, admired by Michelangelo and considered by Bernini the most beautiful in the world.
The visit starts inside the Basilica, a jewel of art and architecture, and then continues in the Sacristy, where the famous Crucifix by Michelangelo is kept.
Our journey among the wonders of Santo Spirito ends after crossing the Cloister, in the Cenacolo, which boasts three beautiful frescoes by Bernardino Poccetti, painted in 1577 in the new refectory of the Augustinians.
