Artisans of San Gimignano
A guided tour in the medieval village to discover the town's handicraft tradition and the flavours of typical local products
We will meet in San Gimignano and introduce you to the beauty and history of this amazing medieval town. You will learn from a local artisan what is like to live in such a town, called the Medieval Manhattan.
While walking along the ancient alleys we will stop to visit two artisan workshops, where you will have the chance to see the artisans at work on their unique pieces of art. We may be able to see a silversmith making a ring or a bracelet or a ceramist shaping a unique piece of pottery.
At the end of the tour, we will meet a farmer in his small shop and taste amazing pork and wild boar salami, cheese and wine, all locally produced.
Wear comfortable shoes, have your camera or smartphone ready to shoot incredible pictures and selfies and... prepare your best smile :-)
