Sinalunga
The San Biagio Collegiate Church collection of Sacred Art (Raccolta d'Arte Sacra della Collegiata di San Biagio) is housed in the rectory adjoining the parochial church of San Biagio. The church was reconstructed in 1580 and then renovated between 1667 and 1669, although the original structure dates back to the thirteenth century. The are many important paintings on display by late sixteenth century Tuscan artists such as il Passignano and Santi di Tito. The collection was put together in order to protect and conserve local sacred works of art. It includes paintings from the fourteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries of the Sienese school, silver and gold ware, holy items and valuable fabrics.
