Palazzo Pitti hosts noteworthy cultural venue

In this noteworthy Gallery, visitors can view exhibits featuring primarily Italian paintings and sculptures from the end of the eighteenth century to the decades preceding World War I. These sumptuous rooms were once the former residence of the Grand Dukes of Lorraine. There, you can find works representative of styles that range from Neoclassicism to Romanticism. Visitors are sure to appreciate an extraordinary collection of Macchiaioli works, which showcase the Italian schools of the second half of the nineteenth century. Guests to the museum can also catch a glimpse of several artistic movements from the first half of the twentieth century.
