The historic Serristori Chemist’s and Herbalist’s

There are many Renaissance ceramics, glass works and paintings on display in this sixteenth century chemist’s in Figline Valdarno

Figline Valdarno
The hospital (‘spedale’) in Figline was founded in 1399 by Ser Ristoro di Iacopo Serristori. This old chemist’s, or pharmacy, was then created in the first half of the sixteenth century and then renovated in 1724. Today it maintains its sixteenth century decor (which was added too during the last century), as well as ceramics and glass works from the fifteenth to the nineteenth centuries and some old paintings.
The Herbalist’s is currently not open to visitors.
