Portraits of historical luminaries such as Cardinal Ferdinando de' Medici are displayed with masterpieces by the artists Santi di Tito, Giusto Sustermans, Giuseppe Pinacci, Fiippo Lippi, Giovanni Bellini and Caravaggio. The Quadreria gallery is dedicated to the Florentine school of the 17th century with paintings by Matteo Rosselli, Giovanni Bilivert, Francesco Furini, Carlo Dolci and Baldassare Franceschini, known as "Il Volteranno." These works are supported by sculptures by the Pratese sculptor Lorenzo Bartolini, including a reduced-scale version of Trust in God. The final room, the Studiolo, recalls patrician picture galleries of the Baroque period. With works by Dandini and Alessandro Rossi, view paintings by Gherardo and Giuseppe Poli, and playful copper-sheet paintings by Giovan Domenico Ferretti.
