Massa Marittima
The museum is housed in the church of San Pietro all’Orto which dates back to 1197; as the oldest church in Massa Marittima, it hosts the remains of medieval frescoes and windows. The venue features twelve ancient organs that were made in Italy from 1680 to1839. It also showcases six different keyboards that spotlight the development keyboard instruments and their mechanics, from the harpsichord to the modern piano. Visitors will also find a seventeenth-century painted Italian harpsichord, a piano from the late eighteenth century, two nineteenth-century pianos and others from 1830, 1870 and 1904.

Opening hours: in winter – Tuesdays to Sundays from 10am to 12.30pm and 3pm to 6pm; in summer – Tuesdays to Sundays: 10am to 1pm and 4pm to 7pm.
Admission: € 4.00 full price; € 2.00 reduced rates for those under 15 years old and over 65 or for groups of at least 5 people
