Museum features age-old traditions linked to disappearing trade

Forgeschi family boasts five generations of carpenters

Massa Marittima
This museum was created to showcase traditional trades and feature the tools that were once used in a now-disappearing economy. It spotlights instruments, utensils and machines that come from the unique Gerfalco Workshop (Montieri), an old-time company that was active from the late nineteenth century to the 1990s, following the traditions established by five generation of carpenters within the Forgeschi family.

Opening hours: from June to September: 10am to 7pm; winter – visits are possible prior written request.
