Argentario's coast

The perfect spot for summer exploration

Mount Argentario
The unique variety of Argentario’s coastline creates different settings which make this maritime environment an interesting home to rare underwater species, tempting scuba divers and marine specialists to amply explore the area.

This fairy-tale marine world offers exciting underwater opportunities, even once you leave the headland of Argentario and move along the Maremma coast toward characteristic beaches like Macchiatonda, la Torba, Chiarone and Capalbio. Surrounded by a rich, woodsy area, these localities are known for their wide dunes whose quasi black sand offsets the sparkling sea.

In the area’s small, well-equipped touristic ports, such as Talamonaccio, Foce dell'Albegna and Santa Liberata, guests can enjoy a more intimate feel before moving on to the larger port towns of Monte Argentario and Talamone.

Santo Stefano Porto del Valle is more protected from the winds compared to Porto Vecchio and it hosts the Yacht Club’s dock.

Guests to the port won’t want to miss a leisurely walk along the market stalls where they can buy fresh fish or take a boat ride to Giglio island and Giannutri. Even Porto Ercole, known for its efficient services, remains a top-notch spot during the summer season, thanks to many available boat stops.

Packed with restaurants, boutiques and unique clubs, vibrant Porto Ercole offers refined entertainment. Avantguard at its best, Cala Galera is a modern marina, famous for its elegant clubs and superb restaurants.

In Santo Stefano, Porto del Valle is protected and less windy than Porto vecchio. It encludes the dock of the Yacht Club where you can moor your boat (otherwise there's the main port). If you stop in Porto Santo Stefano, you'll see the little centre developped around the old harbour. If you walk along the jetty you can reach Porto Nuovo, animated by the fishing boats and the ferries for Giglio and Giannutri islands.

Also the port of Porto Ercole - with its numerous services for boats - is very populated in spring and summer. On the dock side, there are restaurants, shops for a lively and refined social life.

Finally, Cala Galera, so modern and at the forefront, can offer accurate assistance and beautiful clubs for a high level vacation.
