As winter arrives, the mountains around Pistoia welcome skiers and winter sports lovers. Abetone is the biggest ski resort in Central Italy and over time it has become one of the most famous destinations in Italy due to the quality of its slopes, the range of winter sports on offer and an area that combines both nature and fairy-tale-like landscapes.

50 km of slopes, thanks to a well developed lift system, from easy to more challenging slopes, there is something for everyone. Check out the 18km-long loop slope for cross-country skiers.

Two ski schools, five training areas and the possibility to hire equipment make the resort well suited to everyone, from beginners to experts.

Val di Luce, Selletta, Doganaccia and Casetta dei Pulledrari are the four ski resorts that form this skiing paradise. Cross-country slopes, snowboard areas, training zones, children’s areas and panoramic slopes are just some of the facilities on offer.
